
Aleksandras Gincburgas

Aleksandras Gincburgas (1922–?) was born in Kaunas. In 1940, he graduated from the private Jewish Gymnasium No. 1 in Kaunas. That same year, he applied for admission to the Mathematics Department at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Vilnius University and was admitted. On 19 September 1941, he was expelled from the university in accordance with an order issued on 17 September 1941 by the Department of Higher Education under the Board of Education, which was subordinate to the National Socialist authorities. According to the “Yad Vashem” database, he was murdered during the Holocaust.
