Dovydas Lubeckis

Dovydas Lubeckis (David Lubecki) (1920–?) was born in Petrograd (Saint Petersburg). In 1921, he moved to Vilnius together with his parents. From 1929 to 1937, he studied at Adam Mickiewicz Boys’ Gymnasium in Vilnius. In 1938, he studied at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Stephen Báthory University. In 1940, he applied to study in the Physics and Chemistry Department at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Vytautas Magnus University. On 30 January, he was admitted as an unclassified student, and on 17 February, became a full student. In September 1940, he continued his studies in the Physics and Chemistry Department at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Vilnius University. On 19 September 1941, he was expelled from the university in accordance with an order issued on 17 September 1941 by the Department of Higher Education under the Board of Education, which was subordinate to the National Socialist authorities. No further information on the fate of David Lubecki is known.
