Frydman Szymen

Frydman Szymen (Fridmanas Šimenas) (1920–?) was born in Vilnius to Konelskis and Mina, a family of artisans. In 1930, he enrolled in the private Jewish “Tarbut” Gymnasium and successfully graduated in 1938. In 1939, he enrolled at Stephen Báthory University. In September 1940, he submitted a new application to study in the Mathematics Department at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Vilnius University. The application was approved with one modification: the student was transferred to the Physics Department of the same faculty. On 19 September 1941, he was expelled from the university in accordance with an order issued on 17 September 1941 by the Department of Higher Education under the Board of Education, which was subordinate to the National Socialist authorities. No further information on the fate of Frydman Szymen is known.
